Waverley Public to cut energy bills by 33%
Congratulations to Waverley Public School on their new 30kW solar power system.
These solar panels are set to slash 1/3 off the school’s annual energy bills and avoid carbon emissions equivalent to taking 350 cars off the road over the panels’ lifetime.
To celebrate, 70 students from across each year built solar buddy lights. Thanks to our partner, Solar Buddy, these lights are sent to students in developing countries without access to power.
The system was funded through the NSW Community Building Partnerships Grants and NSW Department of Education.
