This initiative was driven by an extremely proactive and environmentally aware group of Year 6 students in 2017. Our planet will be in good hands if tomorrow’s leaders are of this calibre.

Inspired and spurred on by a passionate group of Year 6 students, Bondi Public School has installed a 23kW solar power system with the help of the Solar my School program. The school received funding from the NSW Community Building Partnerships Grants, as well as the NSW Department of Education to help finance the system.
They celebrated with a special solar assembly and a class session building Solar Buddy lights by Year 5 and Year 1 students.
