Bondi Beach Public School now sports of the largest solar power systems in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs! Over its lifetime, this 70kW system will help save the school over $500,000 on electricity bills to reinvest in other valuable learning resources, and avoid 2300 tonnes of carbon emissions. A great story that its students and teachers should be proud of.
The school received funding from the Waverley Council Small Environment Grants program, the philanthropic Purryburry Trust, as well as the NSW Department of Education to help finance the system.
