Solar my School

Solar my School was jointly founded by Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra Councils in the eastern suburbs of Sydney NSW and has run from 2017 to 2024.

The program aimed to reduce community carbon emissions by facilitating the installation of solar power systems in schools and offered comprehensive support from start to finish.

After being hugely successful in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, the program expanded its reach to other Councils in the wider Sydney area and regional NSW. In total, over 200 schools engaged in the program with impressive results achieved.

Now, if you are a public school in NSW please contact School Infrastructure NSW to ask about future solar & renewable energy plans for you; other schools please check out our School Resources that might help you on your solar journey.
